The 1920 Federal Census for North Carolina, Perquimans Co., Hertford Township, District 63 records Beecher L. Rhodes (unknown age - NC) boarding with the Lewis Norman family on Market Street. He is a Baptist Preacher.
The 1930 Federal Census for Norfolk, Va. records a Beecher L. Rhodes (born ca 1886), a preacher of a Baptist Church, married to Emma L. (born ca 1892 in the District of Columbia) living at 227 Hardy Ave. They have been married 10 years and have no children. Emily Daughtrey's notes indicate a Beecher Rhodes, preacher, son of Jet and Cattie Rawls Rhodes.
