The 1900 Federal Census for Holy Neck, Nansemond Co., VA, ED#26, page 121B, dated June 28, 1900 records Fannie E. Martin (May 1837 - VA/VA/VA) with her husband Johnny Martin (Aug 1822 - Germany/Germany/Germany) and children Vivia V. Martin (April 1878) and Garrie O. Martin (Sept 1881). John was first married at age 49 and has no occupation. He indicates that he immigrated to this country in 1858. Fannie was first married at age 28 and has had 5 children of whom 3 are still living. Vivia [Viola] is a widow and has a son, Clifton Pretlow (June 1898 - VA), thus she was married to a Pretlow.
