The 1860 Federal Census for Revenue District 2, Dinwiddie Co., VA, Petersburg P. O., page 80, dated July 1860 records Sally C. Young (52) with her children Edwin Young (17) and Adolphus Young (13) ... also in the household is John E. Kirkham (3). Sally is a farmer with real estate valued at $7,500 and a personal estate valued at $17,115.
Note: John Kirkham is most likely the son of Sally's daughter, Indiana Young Kirkham.

The 1870 Federal Census for District 2, Dinwiddie Co., VA, Dinwiddie C. H. P. O., page 136A, dated July 12, 1870 records Sallie C. Young (62) with her son Edwin (24). Also in the household is John E. Keikham [Kirkham?] (12).

The 1880 Federal Census for Namozine, Dinwiddie Co., VA, District 83, page 179B, dated June 14, 1880 records Sallie C. Young (72) with her grandson, Eddie Sydnor (19), and grand daughter, India Sydnor (14). Also in the household is Sallie's niece, Mary Young (19).
Note: Eddie and India Sydnor are the children of Sally's daughter, Sarah J. Young Sydnor who died in 1878.

Sarah married Edward H. Young. (Edward H. Young was born circa 1805 in Virginia and died circa 1855 in Dinwiddie Co., Virginia.)
