(Jan 1883), Mack A. (Nov 1884), James A. (Sept 1887), Nola (Aug 1889), Insy M. (Jan 1892), Jessie (May 1894), and Fannie (Sept 1896). For the column stating number of years married it appears to be "0". The number of children for John is 7, all living, with a line drawn through; and 0 for Geneva.

The 1910 Federal Census for Ahoskie Township, Hertford Co., NC, District 41, page 14A, dated May 4, 1910 records John W. (51 - NC/NC/NC) and Geneva (34 - NC/NC/NC) Doughtie with children Kelly (10), Grace (8), Griffin (6), and Annie (4) farming along the Winton & Ahoskie Road.
