The 1850 Federal Census for Marshall Co, Kentucky records Thomas Norsworthy (65 - NC) with his wife Joanna Norsworthy (45 - NC) and children L.A. J. Norsworthy (18 - KY), Nancy A. Norsworthy (4 -KY), and Martha Norsworthy (16 - KY). Thomas is a farmer with real estate valued at $300. This is possibly Elizabeth Parker's husband who has remarried after her death. Note: Marshall County was formed in 1842 from part of Calloway County, Kentucky. The first settlement was around 1818, when the area was bought from Native Americans as part of the Jackson Purchase. The county was named in honor of Chief Justice John Marshall who had died not long before the founding of the county. No additional records for Thomas and Joanna have been found, however, documentation for James K. Norsworthy and family are described below:

Next door is James K. Northsworthy (20-30), 1 female (15-20), 1 female (<5). Interesting to note that James K. Norsworthy moved to Arkansas ca 1845:

The 1860 Federal Census for Union Township, Greene Co., Arkansas, page 591, dated Aug 8, 1860 records J. K. Norsworthy (43 - VA) with his wife Martha C. (37 -TN) and children Lee A. (17 - KY), Viola C. (12 - Arkansas), G. C. (10 - Arkansas), Lula A. (8 - Arkansas). Mary L. (6 - Arkansas), Rufus G. (3 - Arkansas), and Sophia (7/12 - Arkansas). James is a Farmer with real estate valued at $1,000 and a personal estate valued at $545.

The 1870 Federal Census for Jonesboro Township, Craighead Co., Arkansas, page 136B, dated Aug 13, 1870 records James K. Norsworthy (53 - VA) with his wife Urilla (31 - Ohio) and children Felix G. (13 - Arkansas), Martha A. (5 - Arkansas), and Urilla K. (2 - Arkansas). James is a Retired Lawyer with real estate valued at $500 and a personal estate valued at $361.
