General Notes:
In an email from Candace Jeffers on 3/19/2006 (descendent of Sarah Rebecca Daughtrey): Algernon Morgan was a wealthy eccentric type guy and a friend of the writer of Tobacco Road, Erskine Caldwell. He started several furniture stores which were sold as the seed for Maxwell Brothers furniture. He liked to "scandalize" my grandmother Cora by coming to dinner bare footed and disheveled. He thought that was funny because it bothered her so. He had a chauffeur but arrived at her house looking like a bum.
