General Notes:

The 1850 Federal Census for Camden Co., NC records David Pritchard (12 - Camden), living with his widowed mother Huldy Pritchard (47 - Currituck) and siblings Polly (26 - Camden), Joseph (23 - Camden), Hugh (21 - Camden), Allen (19 - Camden), Huldy, Jr. (14 - Camden), Benjamin (10 - Camden), and John T. (7 - Camden). In researching the 1840 census for Camden Co. the only Pritchard family with children as described in the 1850 census belonged to Joseph Pritchard ... therefore ... I will assign Joseph and Huldy as parents of David Pritchard. Additional evidence is that the oldest brother of David is Joseph and also David names his first son Joseph ... a good, meaningful family name.In November 2015 this researcher found the death certificate of David T. Pritchard and it names his parents as Joseph Pritchard and Nancy Herring.
