The 1920 Federal Census for Washington Magisterial District, Norfolk, Virginia, District 228 records Joseph A. (45) and Sophie P. (35) Pritchard with children Mildred (11 - NC), Alvah (9 - NC), Bruce (6 - VA), Earnest (5 - VA), Iva (4 - VA), and Faria (2 - VA).

Mildred and Alvah are listed as absent and Joseph is listed as married at 35 while Sophie at 21. This is obviously an error in that 14 years differnce in ages at marriage is not the 11 years difference in ages under the "age" category. Joseph states his occupation as Stationary Engineer at the Navy Yard while Mildred is a private family nurse.
