Mrs. Mabel Adkins Dies in Lynchburg: Funeral Tuesday
LYNCHBURG - Mrs. Mabel Morrison Adkins, wife of the late John P. Adkins, died here yesterday after an illness of several years. She was a native of Lynchburg, being born January 29, 1878, a daughter of the late Henry Clay Morrison and Mrs. Sally Hines Morrison.
Mrs. Adkins was a member of West Market Street Methodist Church of Greensboro, N.C. Her funeral will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Duiguid Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs. Adkins is survived by the following children: Mrs. John Keeling of Danville, Eugene M. Adkins of Greenwood, S.C., W. Royal Adkins and Frederick Adkins of Charlotte, N.C., H. Gordon Adkins of Warwick, Mrs. Roland Hancock of Melrose, Mass, and Mrs. John Miller of Waldrop.
Her surviving sisters are Mrs. John M. Oakey and Mrs. George Morrison of Lynchburg and Mrs. E. C. Buck of Farmville.
