Harry T. Adkins, grandson of Greenberry, writes in the 1950s that Gladys Mary Terry married Robert Ward Jones.

The 1930 Federal Census for Richmond, Virginia, District 27, page 140B records Robert L. (24) and Gladys M. (21) Jones living at the home of the widower Richard A. Hattorf (56) (indexed at ancestry.com as Holtorf) at 118 Nansemond Street. However, after checking the 1920 Census, this Gladys is actually Gladys Hattorf and not the daughter of Eldridge and Abby Terry.

The 1930 Federal Census for Irisburg, Henry Co., VA, District 5 records William R. Jones (24) and his wife Gladys T. Jones (20) and sons Randolph T. Jones (2) and Cyril R. Jones (5/12). This is our Gladys Terry and family in spite of the husband's name, William Jones. The April 8, 1930 article below from the Danville Bee names the sons on a visit to E. P. Terry.

The 1940 Federal Census for Irisburg, Henry Co., VA, District 45-5, page 149B, dated April 30, 1940 records Gladys Jones (34 - VA) with her husband Robert W. Jones, Jr. (30 - VA). Both Gladys and Robert have completed 4 years of high school. Robert is working as a Farmer ... but where are Randolph and Cyril?

Gladys married Robert William Jones Jr., son of Robert Ward Jones Sr. and Bettie Lee Meadors, on 25 Feb 1927. (Robert William Jones Jr. was born on 13 Feb 1906 in Virginia, died on 26 May 1990 in Irisburg, Henry Co., Va. and was buried in Roselawn Burial Park, Martinsville, Virginia.)
