The 1850 Federal Census for West Pennsboro Township, Cumberland Co., PA, page 75 records Philip Foust (sic) (22 - PA) living with his parents George (59 - PA) and Mary (64 - PA) Foust and sibllings Catherine (25 - PA) and Peter (25 - PA) Foust. George and Philip are both "Millers".
The 1860 Census find Mary Foust (70) and her daughter Catherine (33) living in the home of John W. Foust (44) and his family Eliz. J. (41), David W. (19), John R. (14), Jacon M. (12), George F. (10), Philip W. (8), Martha J. (6), and Emma C. (4).
