The 1900 Federal Census for Dickinson, Franklin Co., VA, ED#36, page 241A, dated June 5, 1900 records Carr (May 1858 - VA/VA/VA) and Lucy M. (Oct 1859 - VA/VA/VA) Gibson with children Samuel E. Gibson (March 1887), Fred W. Gibson (Aug 1889), and Fletcher G. Gibson (Sept 1894). Carr is a Farmer and has been married to Lucy for 25 years. They have had 7 children of whom 4 are still living.

The 1910 Federal Census for Chatham, Pittsylvania Co., VA, ED#91, page 116A, dated April 27, 1910 records Carr S. (58 - VA/VA/VA) and Lucy M. (46 - VA/VA/VA) Gibson with children Fred W. Gibson (19) and Fletcher Gibson (15). Also in the hosehold is Fred's recently married wife, Blanche K. Gibson (17 - VA/VA/VA). Carr is a Farmer and has been married to Lucy for 30 years. They have had 7 children of whom 3 are still living. Apparently Samuel, listed in the 1900 census above, has died.

The 1920 Federal Census for Pigg River, Pittsylvania Co., VA, ED#158, page 41A, dated January 16, 1920 records Carr S. (63 - VA/VA/VA) and Lucy M. (62 - VA/VA/VA) Gibson. Next door is son Fred W. Gibson (29) with his wife Blanch K. Gibson (27) and their children Ola K. (9), Hattie L. (7), Zella F. (3 7/12), and Moncie W. (6/12).

Lucy married Carr S. Gibson on 31 Dec 1874 in Pittsylvania Co., VA. (Carr S. Gibson was born in May 1858 in Virginia, died in Jul 1923 in Pittsylvania Co., VA. and was buried in Museville Christian Church, Chatham, Pittsylvania Co., VA.)
