Living in the same household as Andrew is Jane Rawls (26), Elizabeth Rawls (23), Andrew J. Rawls (22), and Martha C. Vaughan (2). Martha C. Vaughn is Andrew Rawls' grand daughter and daughter of Martha Rawls who married John Vaughn.

The 1900 Federal Census for Franklin, Southampton Co., VA, District 61, page 162B, dated June 22, 1900 records Henry A. Rawls (Aug 1817) with his wife, Sarah E. Rawls (May 1835 - VA/VA/VA). Henry and Sarah have been married for 18 years with Sarah indicating she has had no children. Also in the household is a lodger, Rochelle Gardner (April 1884) and a niece, Nancy Harris (Oct 1870).

Henry A. Rawls was born August 14, 1817 the son of Andrew and Abigail Porter Rawles. He was married three times; his first wife was Nancy Ann Eley, 2nd Edith G. Duke Williams and 3rd Sarah E. Harris [although some say Laura E. Jacobs Cobb was his 3rd wife]. Henry A. Rawles was a Confederate Veteran and the father of Judge Richard H. Rawles of Suffolk.
