(29) and Mary (21) Rawls living with Mary's widowed mother, Missouri Woodward (42) and her sons Richard L. (18) and Hersey (24) Woodward. Also in the household is Hersey's wife, Augusta E. Woodward (22). Missouri is a Hotel Keeper, Richard is a Clerk, Hersey is a Merchant, and Richard H. Rawls is a Lawyer.

The 1900 Federal Census for Suffolk Town, Holy Neck District, Nansemond Co., VA, District 29, page 173B records Richard H. (Sept 1850 - VA/VA/VA) and Mary W. Woodward (41 - NC/NC/NC), and their children Jacob L. (18) and Sarah L. (6). Hersey is the Post Master at the U. S. Post Office and has been married to Claude for 19 years.
