The 1900 Federal Census, Virginia, Henry Co., Leatherwood District, District 52, page 89B records William (Jan 1838) and Mary E. (June 1852) Lawrence with children Mary J. (March 1878), Douglas A. (April 1884), and Marshall P. (Aug 1889) and daughter-in-law Narcissa B. Lawrence (Feb 1877).

Mary has had 9 children of which 7 are still living. She is working as a saleslady in a grocery store. Joseph is a bridge worker and William is a farmer.
