Samuel is a Shoe Store Salesman.

The 1910 Federal Census for Pennsylvania, Lancaster Co., Lancaster City, Ward 7, District 83, page 59B records Samuel (55) and Flora (51) Reynolds [Rannels] with children Bessie (19) and Clyde (12) living at 355 Green Street. Samuel and Flora have been married 32 years with 10 children of which 6 are still living. Samuel is a Shoe Store Salesman.

The 1920 Federal Census for Pennsylvania, Lancaster Co., Lancaster City, Ward 7, District 71, page 58B records Samuel (64) and Flora (59) Rannels living at 355 Green Street. Also in the household are son-in-law Frank Ressler (37-widower) and his daughter Lillian (13). (Frank had been married to Francis Rannels)

In 1930, the widower Samuel Reynolds (72) [Rannels] continues to live at 335 Green Street although he is listed as a "lodger". The head of the household is Stewart Lanius (24) who is renting the property, most likely from Samuel Rannels. The 1930 Federal Census for Lancaster City, Pennsylvania, District 61, records the family of Stewart Lanius [Loomis] as: his wife Alice (21) and daughter Mary W. (9/12), his brother George (24), his widowed mother Sarah (54 - PA), his aunt and her children Anna (56), John (25), and Gladys (19) Mulligan, and a neice and nephew Geraldine (12) and Jack (10) Sullivan.
