In the first 10 years of researching this Keil family the only record for Margaret that had been found is the 1870 census for Spring Township, Perry Co., Pennsylvania. She is listed as 10 years old and living with her parents ... see general notes for her father, Johann Adam Keil for 1870 census facts. There is an apparent grave next to John and Anna Keil at the Young's United Methodist Church in Perry County that could be Margaret. It appears to have had a marker but it has been broken and very little remains. There are no burial records referencing this suspected grave.
Then, with the release of Pennsylvania Death Certificates, Margaret was found to have married a Jacob Dice. This openned additional documentation on Johann and Anna's daughter: The 1900 Federal Census for Silver Spring, Cumberland Co., Pennsylvania, ED# 25, page 12B, dated June 13, 1900 records Maggie L. Dice (May 1858 - PA/PA/PA) with her husband Jacob W. Dice (July 1855 - PA/PA/PA) and children Elsie F. Dice (Dec 1888), Jacob W. Dice (March 1891), and Catherine H. Dice (April 1897). Jacob is a Farmer and has been married to Maggie for 24 years. They have had 9 children of whom 8 are still living.
The 1910 Federal Census for Lower Paxton, Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania, ED# 99, page 277B, dated May 9, 1910 records Maggie L. Dice (52 - PA/PA/PA) with her husband Jacob Dice (54 - PA/PA/PA) and children Jacob W. Dice (19), Catherine H. Dice (13), and Lillie M. Dice (9). Jacob is a Farmer and has been married to Maggie for 33 years. They have had 10 children of whom 9 are still living.
