The 1860 Federal Census for Franklin Co., Va. records Martha F. Wigginton (13) in the household of her parents, Henry W. (37) and Mary A. (32) Wigginton with siblings Mary A. S. (11), Lewis C. (9), Mary E. (5), and Sarah C. (3). Henry is listed as an "Overseer".

The 1870 Federal Census for Martinsville, Henry Co., Va. page 112A records H. Wigginton (47) and wife Mary A. (42) and children Margaret (21), Lewis C. (19), Elizabeth (16), Sarah E. (13), Robert H. (11), Emma (8), Nancy S. (2), and retired farmer John Wigginton (78) who is probably Henry's father. Next door is Lewis Bird (59) with children Lucy (32), Hugh D. (18), James R. (13), Quince (20), Lucy (20), and Samuel (3/12). Quince is son John Quincy Bird who has married and had a son, Samuel. Lewis Bird's son, Elkanah Bird has recently married Henry Wigginton's daughter, Martha and is found a few pages over in the census record. See notes on Elkanah Bird for his 1870 census facts.

The 1930 Federal Census for Reed Creek, Henry Co., Va., District 8, page 225A records Francis A. Byrd (84-grandmother) in the home of Roy (37) and Mollie S. (38) Prillaman with children Pauline S. (15), M. Elizabeth (10), G. Ann (8), and Roy W. (2 1/12).
