The 1900 Federal Census for Tunstall, Pittsylvania Co., VA District 94, page 321B, dated June 7, 1900 records Fletcher (Jan 1879) and Mattie (Jan 1883) Inman (indexed as Inmon at ancestry.com) married 0 years. They are living next door to Solomon Inman (May 1875) and his wife Louie (Aug 1880) and daughter Gertrude (Nov 1899). Solomon is Fletcher's older brother.

The 1910 Federal Census for Callands, Pittsylvania Co., VA District 88, page 60B, dated May 3, 1910 records F. H. (30) and Mattie L. (27) Inman with children Mary J. (8) and Harry (6). Fletcher and Mattie have been married for 10 years and have had 4 children of whom 2 are sill living. Next door is Solomon (36) and Louie A. (27) Inman with children Gertrude (10), Irma (8), Cleveland (6), Mary F. (4), Eugene (2), and Solomon Jr. (9/12). Solomon and Louie have been married for 11 years and have had 6 children of whom 6 are sill living.

The WWI Draft Registration for Fletcher Inman taken Sept 12, 1918 records his date of birth as November 5, 1875. He is married to Mattie and living on the Axton Highway in Pittsylvania Co., VA. His physical description is tall and slender with blue eyes and brown hair. The Draft records for Solomon Lee Inman records his date of birth as June 1873 and his wife as Lilie Louise Inman. See notes below to conclude these Inman boys just were not good with dates. Solomon and Fletcher are brothers.

The 1920 Federal Census for Callands, Pittsylvania Co., VA District 139 page 63B records F. H. (43) and Mattie L. (36) Inman with children Jesse (18), Harry (16), Guy (9), Nellie (7), Loyce (5), and Christine (1 0/12). Nearby is S. L. (48) and Louie (42) Inman and family.

The 1930 Federal Census for Callands, Pittsylvania Co., VA District 4, page 54B records Fletcher (50) and Mattie (47) Inman with children Guy (19), Lois (14), Christine (10), and Augita (8) living on the Sandy River and Danville Roads a few doors down from their daughter, Nell, and her new husband, Clyde Terry. Next door is Solomon (55) and Louise M. (49) Enman (sic) and family.

The 1940 Federal Census for Sandy River, Callands, Pittsylvania Co., VA District 72-8, page 92B, dated April 23, 1940 records Fletcher (62) and Mattie (57) Inman with their daughter Near Inman (16). Also in the household is the son, Guy Inman (32) with his wife Viola (21) and their children Kendrick (3) and Jennie (1). In addition there is Fletcher's widowed mother-in-law, Ada Hudson (sic) (83).

Dear Bo,
I just read your webpage for "Ancestors for Bo and Mary Lou . . ."
Fletcher Inman was my great-great uncle, his brother Solomon Inman being my great-grandfather who died when I was 12. I have a copy of the family birth page from the family Bible of Memory Inman, Fletcher and Solomon's father.
In Memory's hand, he writes that Fletcher was born October 5, 1976. I don't think you are directly related to Fletcher, but his descendant
Russell Terry (who is a cousin of mine that I do not know) might like that information. If you are in contact with Russell Terry, you can send him my email and I will be glad to send him a copy of the Bible page.

Fletcher married Mattie Love Hutson, daughter of James Henry Hutson and Ada Francis Belcher, in 1900 in Franklin Co., VA. (Mattie Love Hutson was born circa 1884 in Virginia and died in 1964 in Callands, Pittsylvania Co., VA..)
