(26), and Rhodna E. (24) living on Court Street. Next door is Harry and Jennie's daughter, Arlene (35), and her husband and Harry Shaffer (45), and their daughter, Louise Shaffer (12). Harry is the Proprietor of a General Store and has been married to Jennie for 36 years. Boarding in the home is Emma T. Rizer (22 - MD/MD/MD) who will marry Rhonda Eugene Myers. Emma is currently employed as a Public School Teacher.

Harry's store, listed above in the 1930 census, was Shaffer & Company which was taken over by Jesse D. Myers at the death of Harry Shaffer.

The 1940 United States Federal Census for Westminster, Carroll Co., Maryland, District 7-13, page 266A, dated April 8, 1940 records Harry G. (70) and Jennie M. (65) Myers with children Ralph C. (40) and Rhodna E. (34) living on Court Street. Also in the household is Harry's married daughter, Evelyn J. Hollandbaugh (36), with her husband Norman F. Hollanbaugh (37). Next door is Harry and Jennie's daughter, Arlene A. Shaffer (51), and her husband and Harry W. Shaffer (55), and their daughter, Louise A. Shaffer (22). Harry is a Laborer on Sate Roads earning $600 / year, Ralph is the Supt of Grounds at a College earning $1,620 last year, Rhonda is a Clerk at a Retail Grocery Store but has no earnings, Norman is a Strecher at a Shoe Factory earning $1,001 last year, and Evelyn is a Clerk at a Store earning $101 last year. Harry Shaffer is a Merchant in a Retail Variety Store and his daughter, Louise, is a Public School Teacher. Boarding in the home is Emma T. Rizer (22 - MD/MD/MD) who will marry Rhonda Eugene Myers. Emma is currently employed as a Public School Teacher.
