The 1860 Federal Census for Hennepen Township, Putnam Co, Illinois, page 470 records George Cramer (32 - PA), wife Sarah J. (18 - PA) with children Clinton (1 - Illinois) and Christopher (1/12 - Illinois). A few doors away is the William and Hannah Gillen family who are George's in-laws ... see notes on his wife, Sarah J. This George Creamer is listed in the 1870 and 1880 Federal Census of Urbana, Champaign Co., Ohio as a plasterer. In 1880 Stephen and Elizabeth are still with their parents, George and Sarah Cramer. They are living near Samuel Creamer in 1870 and living with Samuel in 1880. George and Samuel are brothers. See notes on his brother, Samuel, for 1870 & 1880 census records.
There is a marriage record for George and Sarah's son, Stephen Cramer, dated April 30, 1890 in Custer Co., Nebraska. Stephen marries Minnie Holland at "George Cramers" in Custer Co., Nebraska. Therefore it seems reasonable to conclude that George and Sarah went to Nebraska with his brothers after 1880.
