Living in the household of their daughter, Ada, are William (70 - Oct 1829 / Carpenter) and Eliza (71 - Sept 1828) Rannels. William and Eliza have been married 45 years while John and Ada 18.

The 1910 Federal Census for Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania, Manheim Boro, ED# 108, page 107A records Ada (46) and her husband John B. (49 - Keeper of a Restaurant) Shelly on South Charlotte Street. John and Ada have children Alvin R. (26 / Helper) and Helen (1) Shelly. Living in the household of his daughter, Ada, is a widowed William Reynolds [Rannels] (80). John and Ada record having had 3 children of which 2 are still living. Apparently Edna has passed away. It is interesting that William's last name is spelled Reynolds at this time, and that Alvin's WWI Draft Registration of 1917 is signed Alvin Reynolds Shelly.

The 1920 Federal Census for Manheim Borough, Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania, ED# 94, page 185B records Ada S. (56) and her husband John (59 - Proprietor of a Restaurant) Shelly on South Charlotte Street. John and Ada have children Alvin R. (36 - Assistent Proprietor of a Restaurant) and Helen (10) Shelly.

The 1930 Federal Census for Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania, Manheim Borough, ED# 88, page 33A records Ada (67) and her husband John B. (69) Skelly [Shelly] on South Charlotte Street. John and Ada have their son Alvin R. (46) living with them. Both John and Alvin list that they have no employment.
