JACKIE L. BELARDI

Services will be Tuesday for Jackie L. Belardi who died April 28, 2004 at Stanford Medical Center. She was 81.

Jackie was born in Virginia November 23, 1922 the daughter of John and Mary Hagen Lyons. She endured the loss of her father at a young age requiring her to assist and care for her mother. She grew up in Virginia and came to California and eventually settled in the San Lorenzo Valley in the mid 1950's. She has resided in Felton since.

She served in the U.S. Marine Corp during World War Two. And was a long time member of the American Legion. In her younger years she was an accomplished horsewoman having raised Tennessee Walkers. She was a devoted and wonderful mother, grandmother and "g.g." to her great grandchildren.

She is survived by her grandson, Dimitrios "Jimmy" Stragalinos and his wife, Tana of Felton and two great grandchildren, Kenny Mitchell and Elyssa Stragalinos. She is also survived by her cousins and other extended family in Richmond, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her daughter Paula Stragalinos who passed away at the age of 28.

Services will be held at Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel 1050 Cayuga St., Santa Cruz, Ca. Tuesday May 4, 2004 beginning at 10:00 a.m. Visiting hours are between 1pm-5pm on Monday May 3, 2004 at Pacific Gardens Chapel. Entombment will be at Santa Cruz Memorial Park 1601 Ocean St, Santa Cruz, Ca.

She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
