Obituary for Annie Hill Sharp Klenner:
Annie Hill Sharp Klenner, 89, formerly of 1205 Huntsdale Rd., Reidsville, N.C. died Sunday, December 28, 2003 at Annie Penn Hospital Skilled Care. Private graveside services will be conducted at a later time.
A native of Martinsville, Va., she was a daughter of the late James Merritt and Annie Blackwell Sharp and had lived in Reidsville her entire life. She was a registered nurse having formerly worked at Duke University Hospital and later assisted her husband Dr. Frederick R. Klenner with his practice. She was an active Garden Club Member and Flower Show Judge and was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Frederick R. Klenner, son, Frederick R. Klenner Jr.; sister, Susie M. Sharp and brother Thomas A. Sharp.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Anne Klenner Palmer of Reidsville, N.C. and Gertrude Klenner Wilkerson of Rock Hill, S. C.; sister, Louise W. Sharp LCDR, NC, USN - Ret., of Eden, N.C.; brother, Dr. James V. "Kits'' Sharp of Green Cove Springs, Fla.; two grandchildren, Major Shane C. Wilkerson of (U.S. Air Force) Ft. Walton Beach, Fla. and Mrs. Evelyn "Lyn'' P. Azwell of St. Louis, Mo.; two great-grandchildren, Amy Azwell and Leslie Azwell of St. Louis, Mo.
The family will see friends 2-3 p.m. Wednesday at Citty Funeral Home with a Rosary to be held at 1:30 p.m.
