By 1900 Robert and Sallie have moved to Nash Co., NC: The 1900 Federal Census for Castalia Township, Nash Co., NC, District 55 records Robert (May 1848) and Sallie G. (Aug 1858) Blackwell (indexed as Clackum at ancestry.com) with children William R. (Oct 1879), John P. (Dec 1881), Mary A. (Feb 1884), Walter H. (Jan 1889), Dora G. (Dec 1890), Katie I (Nov 1894), and Garland W. (Dec 1896). Robert is a farmer and has been married to Sallie for 21 years. Sallie has had 8 children of whom 7 are still living. They are living next door to Sallie's brother, John Strum, and his family.
