Beverly and Frances have been married about 7 years. Both Beverly and Francis are Helpers at a Dairy. Also in the household is his widowed sister-in-law Willie Seay (36 - VA/VA/VA) [ie Willie is the sister to Cora Francis Lovelace, daughter of Cora Draper Lovelace. Next door is T. George Lovelace (48 - NC/NC/NC) with his wife Corina (51) and children Thomas (22) and Drewry (12). Also in the household is Russell Seay (15). [T George & Corina Lovelace are Francis' parents ... and from 1920 census records it appears that Russell is the son of Willie Seay.] Now ... the 1920 census for Big Creek, McDowell Co., WV records James C. The January 12, 1971 edition of the Danville Bee records the obituary for W. B. Hodges Sr.: W. B. Hodges Sr. Succumbs At 67 Martinsville - W. Beverly Hodges Sr., 67, of Martinsville died in a local hospital early today following three days of illness. He was born in Henry County, a son fo the late John A. and Mary Wingfield Hodges, and was a retired captain of the city prison farm with 20 years service. He was a member of Chatham Heights Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Cora Lovelace Hodges of the home; two sons, Clyde Hodges of Eden, N.C., and B. W. Hodges of Martinsville; and one sister, Mrs. Lottie Adams of Eden. The funeral will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. at McKee Chapel. Interment will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
