The 1860 Federal Census for South Western District, Franklin Co., Virginia, page 97, dated August 10, 1860 records Chas T. (66) and Margaret (61) Hunt with children Eleanore F. Hunt (26) and Thos D. Hunt (24). Chas has real estate valued at $3,000 and a personal estate valued at $13, 435.
The 1860 Federal Census, Franklin County, Slave Schedule lists Charles T. Hunt as having 16 slaves, 9 under the age of 15 on his farm valued at $13,435 ... rather wealthy for the time.
Charles married Margaret Craig. (Margaret Craig was born about 1799 144 and died after 1860.)
