  General Notes:

Fred indicated in an email from Nov. 2003 that his birth certificate stated "Keil" but all members of his family went by Kile. He always went by Kile with no knowledge of "Keil" until he applied for a work permit in 1942 and found his birth and baptism certificates were Keil. He later had his name legally changed to Kile to be more in keeping with all other siblings and his past everyday records. He has never had any explanation for the change in the spellings.
