Thanks for the WWll registration card, guess I never knew he had to [register for the draft] at his age. I have no additional info on the other Keils you mention. Have never been sure of any siblings of David only that he had a sister who was born on the passage to the US, don't know if that was fact or fiction. My mother was Catherine Margaret Halter born in Lees Crossroads, PA, her birth date is 11/6/1883. Her parents were David and Dessie Halter.
Marge's maiden name was Rossley born in Worchester, MA 7/18/1927 [Marge is Fred' current wife]

The 1900 Federal Census for Newton Township, Cumberland Co., Pennsylvania, ED# 21, page 80A records Katie M. Halter (Oct 1883) living with her parents, David R. (July 1853 - PA/PA/PA) and Dessie C. (Sept 1856 - PA/PA/PA) Halter and her brother Adam R. Halter (Dec 1888). David and Dessie have been married for 19 years and have had 4 children all of whom are still living. Nearby is Katie's big sister, Edna Halter (May 1882), boarding as a servant in the home of Joseph L. (April 1873) and Lizzie (Jan 1875) Miller.
