(Aug 1844 - PA/Switzerland/Switzerland) and Lydia M. (Dec 1857 - PA/Conneticutt/PA) Troup and siblings Viola M. Troup (Dec 1883) and Earl A. Troup (Nov 1895) at 1710 Bouvier Street. John is a Contractor who has been married to Lydia for 22 years. They have had 6 children of whom 3 are still living. Viola is a Wholesale Druggist.

The 1910 Federal Census for the USS Mississippi, Military & Naval Forces in the Philippines, District 61 records the sailor Ulyses Troup (19 - PA).

Treupe (29 - PA/PA/PA) and his children Walter (6 - PA) and Viola (3 - PA) living at the home of Jacob Ebinger (60 - Germany/Germany/Germany) and his wife Barbara Ebinger (59 - Germany/Germany/Germany) and Louis Ebinger (29 - PA) at 1508 22nd Street. Ulysses is a Fireman for the City. Jacob and Barbara both immigrated in 1890. Ulysses is listed as married but his wife is not listed in the household.

The 1930 Federal Census for Philadelphia, PA, Ward 47 (ED# 1107, page 213B), dated January 19, 1930 records Jacob Ebinger (70 - Germany/Germany/Germany) with his wife Barbra Ebinger (69 - Germany/Germany/Germany) and their son, Louis Ebinger (38 - PA), at 3011 Marshall Street. Also in the household is grandson Walter Troup (17). Jacob is a Retired Butcher.

The 1940 Federal Census for Philadelphia, PA, District 51-320, page 3634A, dated April 15, 1940 records the widow Lydia Troup (82 - PA) with her son Vlypess (sic) [Ulysses] Troup (47 - PA) living at 2255 Second Street, Philadelphia, PA. Ulysses indicates that he is still married. Neither the mother nor son report being employed and neither reports any income. They are renting their apartment and pay $10/month in rent. The mother, Lydia Troup, has completed 6 years of schooling while her son, Ulysses, has completed 8 years of school.

The WWII Draft Registration Card (for men born on or after April 28, 1877 and on or before February 16, 1897) for Ulysses S. Troup dated April 27, 1942 lists his date of birth as March 13, 1891 in Norristown, PA. He is living with his mother, Mrs. Lydia Troup, at 2261 N. 2nd Street, Philadelphia, PA.
