I don't know much about the either side of my family. After my father died (from cancer) in 1947, my mother moved to California (I was three) and lived close to her niece, Jackie, who was the daughter of Aunt Mary, my mother's sister. My mother, Jean, never talked about my father's side of the family and my mother didn't keep in touch with her side of the family. I don't know what went on and what were the reasons why she cut off ties. My brother, Larry, remembers playing with his grandfather (Ed II) and remembers the cousins Mary Lou and Anne. My mother did visit her father in 1952 and took me with her. I have a wonderful memory of him, though we were in Richmond only for a short time. The only relatives I remember meeting were my Aunt Mary and my grandfather. I also met Uncle Lindsey and Aunt Garland once, when they came to visit Aunt Mary. Aunt Margaret and her husband, I met when they where vacationing in San Francisco. I treasure those memories.
