The 1920 Federal Census records the widower A. P. Glidewell (58) living with his married son, Edmond T. Glidewell at 639 Berryman Street in Danville, Va. (see notes on his wife Sarah Glidwell) Also in the household is W. C. Goodman (28) and his wife Emma (23 - A.P.'s daughter) and children Evelyn (2) and Florence (infant).

The July 13, 1928 edition of the Danville Bee on page 2 reports Mrs. W. C. Goodman and children returning to their home in Johnson City, Tenn, after spending 6 weeks with Mrs. Goodman's mother, Mrs. A. P. Glidewell.

The 1930 Federal Census records Emma Goodman (33) with children Eveline (11), Garland (8), Bobbie (3/12), and her mother Sarah Glidewell (67) living at 639 Berryman Street in Danville, VA. Emma is listed as married for 12 years but no husband is named here. A few doors down is Emma's brother and family: Edmond T. (44), Arlin (36), Evangaline (15), Edmond Jr. (8), and Mary J. (6) living at 627 Berryman Street in Danville, Va.

Sarah married William Charles (W. C.) Goodman, son of Henry Goodman and Margaret Riddle, circa 1917. (William Charles (W. C.) Goodman was born on 24 Nov 1891 in Manchester, Cumberland Co., North Carolina and died on 23 May 1930 in Danville City, (Pittsylvania Co.), Virginia.)
