Roy and Sadie lived next door to Roy's sister, Eva Byrd in Martinsville. Sadie would not speak to Eva and no one ever knew why. Amends were not to be made no matter how hard Eva tried. (related by Sandra Hodges Hagen in July 2005 interview, also Roy's full name)
