Also in the household are John's widowed mother-in-law Bessie Constance (63 - England/England/England) and sister-in-laws Hattie (27 - IL) & Minnie (27 - IL) Constance. John is an electrical engineer for the garment factory while Hattie and Minnie are seamstresses for the garment factory. Bessie immigrated in 1886.

The 1920 Federal Census for Joliet, Will Co., Illinois, District 155, page 23A records John R. (49 - IL/Scotland/Scotland) and Ada (48 - IL/England/England) McCurrie with their children Ray (20 - IL) and Isabell (18 - IL). John is a Stationary Engineer and Ray is a tinman at the furnace company.

The 1930 Federal Census for Joliet, Will Co., Illinois, District 56, page 2B records John R. (59 - IL/Scotland/Scotland) and Ada E. (58 - IL/England/England) McCurrie living at 114 Ervin Street.
