AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Carolyne Morgan Shepherd, 77, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at University Hospital. Survivors include her sons, Kirk and his wife, Pamela Shepherd of Hephzibah and Scott Shepherd of Augusta; sister, Frances Jeffers of Savannah; six grandsons, Brian Shepherd of Martinez, Trey Shepherd, Tony Shepherd, Jason Shepherd, Kris Shepherd and Lee Jackson, all of Augusta; two great-grandsons, Morgan Shepherd and Griffin Shepherd and several nieces and nephews. Private graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday in Westover Memorial Park with Rev. John Beck officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Mrs. Shepherd was born in Augusta to the late Frank E. and Cora Thompson Morgan. She retired after 32 years as a Dispatch Manager for Augusta Chronicle. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the University Healthcare foundation oncology nursing education endowment fund, 1350 Walt on Way Augusta, Ga. 30901 The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
