The 1910 Federal Census for Holy Neck, Nansemond Co., Va., District 12 records Charlie L. Rawles (41) and his sister Annie Rawles (24) living at the family farm. Also in the home is his recently widowed sister Leslie B. Everette and her children Ollie N. (9) and Willie J. (7) Everette.

The 1920 Federal Census for Holy Neck, Nansemond Co., Va., District 19 records Charles L. Rawles (52) boarding at the home of Harvey and Ivey Edwards on Main Street in Holland Town. Nearby is his sister Leslie Everett (42) and her daughters, Olie W. (19) and Willie J. (16) Everett. Charles is a Real Estate Agent while Leslie is the Post Mistress for the U. S. Post Office.
