Minta is a Staff Nurse at the Hargrave Military Hospital having earned $540 while working 39 weeks during the last year. She has completed 4 years of high school and was living at Hughes Memorial School in [Danville,] Virginia as of April 1, 1935.

The obituary for Minta B. Beck was in the July 28, 1971 newspaper, The Bee, Danville VA: Former Resident Dies Yesterday [July 27, 1971] Mrs. Minta Belcher Beck of Richmond, formerly of Danville, died yesterday in a Richmond hospital. A native of Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Marcell Minter Belcher. She was a retired nurse, having graduated from Danville General Hospital School of Nursing, and was married to the late William Thomas Beck. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Marion D. (Cecile) Oakley of Richmond; one son, William T. Beck Jr. of Columbia, S. C.; three sisters, Mrs. W. T. Adkins of Danville, Mrs. Alfred Meador of Callaway and Miss Jaynie E. Belcher of Roanoke, and five grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted tomorrow at 10:30 a. m. at the chapel of Trinity United Methodist Church in Richmond. Interment will follow at 2 p. m. in Springhill Cemetery at Lynchburg. The body is at Sutherland-Brown Chapel in Richmond.
