Draper (June 1842 - VA/VA/VA) and brother John H. Draper (Oct 1883). Next door is James H. Draper (May 1874) with his wife Lucy A. Draper (March 1872) and daughter Martha D. Draper (Sept 1898). Also in that household is James' uncle James Draper (Sept 1845). These are farming families.
The 1930 Federal Census for Martinsville, Va. , District 10, page 259A, dated April 10, 1930 records the widow Lillie B. Byrd (48) living at 188 College Street with her children Beverly M. (28), Ruby M. (24, daughter-in-law), Harry D. (19), John K. (16), Marshall W. (14), Lillie E. (11), and Roy B. (5). Beverly is a tax collector at the Treasurer's Office while Henry is a laborer in a furniture factory.
