Bruce Saunders web-published cemetrey notes indicated Andrew Rawls wife, Christine, was a Milteer. In a response to an email inquiry concerning Chrisitne Parker's father (David Parker vs David Milteer): I've ["Bruce Saunders" <bsaunders@amaze.net>] just looked in the book: Birdie, A Girl of the Old South pg126 "Goodman family: Edny Goodman b. 1803 d. 1871 m. 1. David Parker d. before 1841; m.2. David L. Miltier. b.1800 d. 08-05-1860, s/o Jethro and Sarah Miltier." The Robert and Dianna Rawls Rawls Family Bible records Christine's name as "Parker" and the Daughtrey family history notes from Emily C. Daughtrey records Christine's father as David Parker. David Milteer was Edny Goodman's second husband. Many researchers had previously identified Christine's father as David Milteer which is incorrect. David Parker died circa 1824 and Edny remarried David Milteer circa 1826 in Nansemond Co., VA.

The 1850 Federal Census for Nansemond Co., Va. (page 215B) records David L. (50) and Edny (47) Milteer.

The 1860 Federal Census for the Upper Parish, Nansemond Co., Va., page 602B, dated July 19, 1860) records David L. (60) and Edny (55) Milteer. Also in the household is their son, Charles D. Milteer (25), and his wife, Ann E. Milteer (20), who were married within the past year. David has real estate valued at $3,500 and a personal estate at $9,000 including 16 slaves while Charles has a personal estate of $1,500.

The 1870 Federal Census for Holy Neck, Nansemond Co., VA, page 238A records Edna Metteer (68) living with Francis Journeykin (35). Francis is listed as a house keeper. Near by is Edna's daughter, Margaret A. Holland and her family.

Edn(y)(a) married David L Miltier, son of Living and Living, circa 1826. (David L Miltier was born about 1800 and died on 5 Aug 1860.)

Edn(y)(a) next married David Parker, son of Kedar Parker and Living, circa 1819. (David Parker was born circa 1785 in Gates Co, NC and died about 1820 in Nansemond Co., VA.)
