Emily was a keeper of the Daughtrey Family History and recorded her family facts for generations to follow. Many of her writings have been researched, documented, referenced, and sited and can be read in this compiled genealogy.

The 1940 Federal Census for Holy Neck, Nansemond Co., VA, District 62-13, page 187B [image 8 of 28 at www.ancestry.com], dated April 10, 1940 records Elmer L. Daughtrey (53) and his sister, Emily C.
