Ola Daughtrey writes to Ethel Daughtrey Ellis ca 1967 that her mother "Julia Anna Rawls Daughtrey departed this life the morning of July 17, 1895 at 2:45 o'clock, after an illness of six weeks. Meningitis." The same letter states that her brother "Theophilus Losey Daughtrey died - Aug. 11, 1922 near Richmond, Va."

Julia married Eli Daughtrey, son of Joshua Daughtrey and Priscilla (Prissy) Holland, on 10 Jan 1867 in Nansemond Co., VA. (Eli Daughtrey was born on 26 Mar 1838 in Isle of Wight Co., VA, died on 22 Sep 1930 in Nansemond Co., VA and was buried on 22 Sep 1930 in Family Plot across from Eli's home in Nansemond Co, VA.) The cause of his death was Chronic Nephritis.
