Meredith went to work on a tug boat in New Orleans. During a shipment on the river, the barge sank, pulled the tug under, and Meridith drowned. He was married with a child.
In an interview in September 2006, Bob Hill relates: Meridith was married to Carol Jean Melvin ... she was divorced from Meridith ... she was at Mill's funeral ... she lived in Ohio.
