bullet  General Notes:

According to Emily Christine Daughtrey she was known as Aunt Senie. (Acenitte in the 1850 census.)

A family story says Union troops camped in the front lawn of Asenath's home. One of the soldiers called her a "Secish Girl" and told her that after the war he was going to come back and marry her. She told him she would rather be dead. After the war she married William Henry Cutchin, son of Joseph Cutchin and Nancy Wright, on 11 Dec 1878 in Isle of Wight County, VA. She died on 18 Feb 1908 in Isle of Wight County, VA, at age 66.
