In an email to Bo Hagen in Oct. 2004, Ginny Doughtie Layman (grand daughter of Luther C. Doughtie, Sr., brother to Alnona Doughtie Daughtrey) related the following: "my Aunt Allie (Doughtie) is just plain Allie. That was her given name. In August when I showed her the picture of your [Bo Hagen] grandmother, the first thing she said was, 'she looks just like Sister' (my mother, Louise). Allie was thrilled to see a picture of your grandmother because she said her Aunt Allie ALWAYS sent her a present on her birthday, when she was a child, because she was named after her. That was something she looked forward to as a child. Mom had told me years ago (when she could still remember) that your grandmother's name was Alnona, but they always called her Aunt Allie. She also remembered that they called your grandfather Los(z)ey and they lived near Richmond [Virginia]."
